How to get to Orton and Tebay

The area can be easily accessed from the M6 Junction 38. 

Then follow the A685 towards Kendal to get to Tebay or the B6260 towards Appleby to get to Orton. The A685 towards Kirkby Stephen provides quick access to Raisbeck, Kelleth and Gaisgill.

Alternatively, exit the A6 south of Shap or the M6 at Junction 39 and take the B6261 to Orton.

You can cycle or take a bus or from the nearest stations:
Appleby on the Settle to Carlisle railway line and Oxenholme (Kendal) or Penrith on the main London to Glasgow line.
