Description

The foraging course begins with a short introduction on foraging, and a brief summary of the Countryside Code including Wild Food UK's Foraging Code.

Heading off at a leisurely pace around the grounds of Acorn Bank, your instructor will teach you how to identify the different species of edible and poisonous plants and mushrooms that you find.

There will be a break for seasonal homemade refreshments made by Wild Food UK and at the end of the day you'll finish with a wild food meal which will include what you have collected during the walk.

After the course, you'll receive a comprehensive set of Wild Food UK's 'Course Notes' which will contain links and articles relating to what you found or discussed during the course.
