Orton Farmers' Market

This bustling Famers’ Market is held in the centre of Orton village, partly open air and partly in the historic Market Hall. It’s a great place to browse and to shop, and Orton itself is a lovely village to explore.

If you’ve a passion for local food and drink or a love of local arts and crafts, Orton Farmers’ Market brings everything together. The Market has thrived since 2001, winning awards and maintaining its standards of local, seasonal and high quality. Orton is accessible from all directions and this lovely Westmorland Dales village is just 5 minutes from the M6 at Tebay or Shap. 

We currently have 20+ varied local traders who regularly attend Orton Farmers’ Market. Meeting the people behind the products and finding out more about the provenance of what you buy is what a Farmers’ Market is all about. You can meet each one here.

Orton Farmers’ Market happens on the second Saturday of every month, 9am to 2pm.
