Great Asby Summer Fayre

Great Asby will be holding its annual 'Summer Fayre' at the village's 'Old Rectory', from 12noon on Sunday 30th August, preceded by a Dog Show on Chapel Green at 11am.

£ 1 entrance on the gate and Children free

Description

Entrance £1 on the gate, children free.  Proceeds to Manna House (Kendal), St Peter's Church and a village enhancement scheme (voting on the day, see list of ideas in Asby Bus Shelter). 

11am - Dog Show on Chapel Green, 15 categories.  Entries (£1 a dog) on the day.

12noon - Fayre open - stalls, music, table-top games all afternoon.

1pm - BBQ starts (hot food £5, salads, puddings etc by donation)

2pm - Community games - stand-up bingo etc.

3pm - Poetry open mic - poetry, monologues, jokes, story-telling.

4pm - Auction of promises and donated items with local star auctioneer Will Rogerson.

4.30pm - Asby Village Project announcement of the winning entry.

5pm - Fayre closes.

Stalls to include:

• The Penrith Red Squirrel Group, Hospice at Home
• Art work, crafts, plants, books, DVDs
• Home-made produce (cakes, preserves etc)
