Held between Hesket Newmarket and Newlands Mill - signposted in the village.

Hesket Newmarket Show is a traditional agricultural show event held every year in September.

It aims to celebrate the finest of agricultural traditions with top class livestock, horse and dog sections and it boasts one of the finest exhibitions of animals anywhere in the North of England.

It takes a whole year to prepare, organise and arrange the Hesket Newmarket Show. As soon as one show is over the preparations begin for the next.

We have new horse classes, including Mountain and Moorland, Coloured Ponies, Ex Racehorse/Thoroughbred. 

This is truly a show for everyone with many other events and attractions taking place around the show ground including:

• Cattle - several classes
• Sheep - several classes
• Horses including fell ponies, shetland ponies & heavy horses
• Horticultural and industrial section
• Local crafts tent & side stalls
• Cumberland and Westmorland wrestling
• Terrier racing
• Sheep dogs & gun dogs
• Tug of war
• Photography & Art
• Vintage vehicles
