Ullswater in autumn. One of the Lake District’s most beautiful walks. Two ways to take it on.
The NAV4 Ullswater Way and Challenge returns to Pooley Bridge on Saturday 31 October, offering a choice between the classic 20-mile Ullswater Way or the tougher 24-mile Challenge route.

Both routes take you clockwise around Ullswater, through Howtown and Glenridding, past some spectacular Lakeland scenery and with plenty of opportunities to stop and take it all in.
Fancy a little more adventure? The 24-mile Challenge adds the higher-level route through Glencoyne to Dockray and Gowbarrow Summit, bringing extra miles, extra elevation and some seriously impressive views.

This isn’t a race. It’s a chance to spend a day in the mountains, surrounded by Ullswater at its autumnal best, with NAV4 checkpoints providing food, drink and support along the way.
And when you finish? Tea, coffee, cake and the famous NAV4 soup, served in your limited-edition souvenir mug.
