Description

Penrith Town Council organises and leads Penrith’s annual Remembrance Sunday Parade and Service, held each year on the second Sunday in November, to honour the service and sacrifice of those who have lost their lives in conflicts past and present.

In 2026, Remembrance Sunday will take place on Sunday 8 November 2026.

The parade is attended by invited dignitaries, representatives of the Armed Forces, veterans’ organisations, cadet forces, Town Councillors, and local community groups. Accompanied by Penrith Town Band, the parade proceeds from the Town Hall along Middlegate to St Andrew’s Church.

  • Parade muster: 1:50pm, adjacent to Penrith Town Hall
  • Step‑off time: 2pm

Service of Remembrance

On arrival at St Andrew’s Church, participants and members of the public are invited to attend the Service of Remembrance, which provides an opportunity for quiet reflection, remembrance and respect. The service commemorates all those who have served and safeguards the memory of the fallen for future generations.
Members of the public are warmly encouraged to attend both.
