A watercolour workshop for beginners where participants will learn how to create dappling effects with foliage brushes and layering of autumnal colours.

Learn to paint vibrant watercolour poppies in this fun and relaxed workshop. A great workshop for complete beginners, participants will experiment with some fantastic, intense colours and learn a simple, enjoyable petal painting technique that can be used again and again to capture any flower.

Saturday 12 December - Val Stamper Watercolour – credit card hills at Penruddock Village Hall, CA11 0QU
Forget brushes! In this fun and relaxing workshop, participants will move and sculpt watercolour on paper using a plastic ‘credit card’. Participants will create a sky using a simple, common watercolour technique and then they will use deep, earthy colours to create the wintery image of a fell.

Saturday 21 November 11am (Christmas themed) - Glass by Donemark – fused glass topper card in Melmerby Village Hall, CA10 1HB
In this Fused Glass workshop, participants will learn how to cut glass shapes and decorate them using a variety of techniques. Participants will create up to 6 card toppers and the glass creations will then be fired and returned approximately 10 days later.

Saturday 16 January 10am - Teesdale Felt - Pendant enamelling in Maulds Meaburn Village Hall, CA10 3HN
Using vibrant, non-leaded enamel powders, participants will learn how to prepare copper blanks, sift and layer beautiful colours, experiment with patterns and stencils, and fire their piece on site.

The Crafty Wagtails – Wet cyonotype
Participants will learn how to create beautiful artwork using UV rays, adding water and various elements such as vinegar, soap suds and spices to create varied colours and textures.
