Daffodil Run and Walk 2027

Open to walkers and runners of all speeds and established in 2016 to support the pubs and shops following the loss of Pooley Bridge in the 2015 Cumbria floods, 'The Daffy Run' was so popular you asked us to do it again… and again!

Description

With a full distance of 13 miles, an out and back course allows you to do as much - or as little - as you wish.

Initially the aim of the event was to remind people how beautiful Pooley Bridge and Ullswater is, and how it had suffered following the loss of it's famous bridge. Now the new bridge is open and all the flood damage is, well, water under the bridge! But the event lives on - so come and enjoy a good run or walk, whatever your speed. Enter as a family or, one parent can race whilst the other walks or runs with the kids. Or sign up as a solo entrant to run or walk with friends old and new. The route is a corker and a fun, family friendly day out for everyone.

This easy to follow route runs from Pooley Bridge to Hallin Fell, via The Cockpit and Martindale Church and then back the same way. The route is a mixture of good trails, and paths, some wet under foot, a little bit of tarmac lane and the open slopes of Hallin Fell.
