Commemorating D-Day 80 - Penrith

Penrith Town Council will be commemorating the 80th Anniversary of D-Day on 6th June in line with the invitation sent by the Pageantmaster.

Description

The official Proclamation will be read at 8am at the Bandstand in the Cornmarket.

Later in the day, at 8.30pm, Committed2Rock will be performing some songs of the period at St Andrew’s Churchyard immediately prior to the lighting of a gas Beacon in St Andrews at 9.15pm. This will be followed by a recital of the International Tribute and one further song. All are welcome to attend.
