Description
Nature Doodling is a wonderful, mindful way to develop a deeper connection with nature through the creative experience of sketching. It’s not however, about being great at drawing! It’s not actually about the drawing at all. And that’s important. Anyone can do it. It’s a totally inclusive activity.
The aim of Nature Doodling is to learn how to see, not how to draw, and to discover how spending time noticing nature and doodling nature can improve your health and wellbeing. The focus of this Nature Doodling workshop is on observation, not artwork; enjoying nature, not learning about it; finding beauty and sketching in your own way for your own wellbeing, tapping in to the Five Pathways to Nature Connection developed by the University of Derby.
The benefits of creative wellbeing in nature include – helping you to see and notice more, improving memory, slowing down, focusing and being mindful, improving mood and lifting the spirits. And all of these things help to reduce stress and anxiety and draw on the healing power of nature.
All materials provided, plus hot drinks and cake!
