Description

This December Yarnbird Arts led by award-winning theatre maker Sophia Hatfield invites families and groups to enjoy The Little Christmas Tree, a magical festive adventure based on Hans Christian Andersen's beloved tale The Fir Tree.

Specially created for children aged 3-7, the production combines storytelling, music and gentle festive fun in a warm, welcoming and intimate setting. Perfect as a seasonal outing for families and community groups.

This magical show offers a memorable Christmas theatre experience that celebrates imagination, aspiration and finding joy in who you are.

Gus the fir tree may be small, but his ambition grows tall! Gus dreams of leaving the forest to become the next big thing. A virtuoso violin, a beautifully carved throne or even a mast for a magnificent sailing ship. If only he could grow a little taller, perhaps he would be chosen for a great adventure.

But everyone knows the finest fate that can befall a fir tree is to become... a Christmas tree.

After watching the bigger trees achieve their dreams, will this finally be the year that Gus is chosen?

Join Yarnbird Arts at Kirkby Club for a heartwarming festive story full of music, laughter and seasonal cheer.

3pm.

Prices: Adult £8, Children £5, families tickets £20 and £15.

Running Time: 45 minutes. Age Guidance: 3-7 years and the whole family.

Post-Show Activities: Following the performance, children can take part in a festive craft workshop, creating and decorating their own 3D tree decoration from recycled cardboard and paper. They will also be invited to add a secret message about their own ambitions for the future, creating a keepsake to hang on the Christmas tree for years to come.
