Drive It Day 2024

The Cumbria classic and motor sports show organised by the Wigton Motor Club. Visit for a day packed full of entertainment, with autotests, arena displays and music. The 2024 Drive It Day will take place on Sunday 21 April.

Description

The Wigton Motor Club organise the Cumbria Drive It Day at Dalemain. This event is open to all types of classic and vintage vehicles in return for a £5 donation (per car) to the nominated charities: Blood Bikes and Hospice at Home.

National Drive It Day was created by the Federation of British Historic Vehicle Clubs in 2005. It is the occasion when historic vehicle enthusiasts and the public at large have the opportunity to celebrate the One Thousand Mile Trial organised in 1900 to prove the viability of the new invention, the motor vehicle. It’s also a chance to raise awareness and support amongst the public for the historic vehicle movement and keeping transport heritage on UK roads.

The Great Barn Tearoom will be open for refreshments.
