Familiarisation visits

From time to time, we host familiarisation visits to the Eden area to showcase journalists, travel writers and Tourist Information Centre Staff from other areas what the area has to offer to visitors.

Tourism businesses that offer complementary accommodation, visits to attractions or services as part of these visits often secure free publicity and coverage in national and regional press and publications.

One trip was organised for staff from the Yorkshire Dales Visitor Centres to discover the Upper Eden area and find out what there is on offer.
