Tour de France 2027
Cumbria will host two stages of men’s 2027 Tour De France Grand Départ!
A Stage One finish in Carlisle and a Stage Two start in Keswick will both feature in the 2027 Tour De France, with the opening stage of the men's Tour de France travelling from Edinburgh to Carlisle on Friday 2 July 2027, before Stage Two travels from Keswick on Saturday 3 July 2027 - through the Lake District and Lancashire to finish on The Strand in Liverpool the same day.
The 2027 Tour De France Grand Départ is a massive opportunity for you to showcase your business to new national and international audiences. The Tour de France is the most watched free sporting event in the world and is bigger than the Olympics with a global TV reach of 3.5 billion viewers.
The Cumbria Combined Authority’s (CCA) interim leader John Barradell has said that the event could 'encourage economic growth and investment within the county on a scale rarely seen' – with early predictions suggesting £50 million could be generated in visitor spend alone.
The Tour de France offers the opportunity to showcase your business to a new audience and encourage them to return again and again.
Cumbria Tourism is already working closely with organisers and businesses to help their members make the most of this unique opportunity.
