The new Ullswater Bus service
Through a community initiative, Stagecoach is running a pilot Ullswater Bus service this year, 2023, on Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays connecting holiday accommodation around the
valley with destinations such as Pooley Bridge, Howtown, Lowther Castle, Ullswater 'Steamers' and onward transport services already in place.
The service is being provided as part of the drive for more sustainable transport and reduced private vehicle traffic in the Ullswater Valley; improving connections between where people are and where they wish to be within the valley.
Leave the car, take the bus!
The 16-seater service runs between 1st July and 29th October 2023.
The new Ullswater Bus services run morning and afternoon covering locations within the following three routes:
- Pooley Bridge - Bennethead - Leeming - return
- Pooley Bridge - Tirril - Askham - Lowther - return
- Pooley Bridge - Howtown - Leeming - return
