Castlehowe Scar Stone Circle

Near Shap, Penrith

This small stone circle is in a field next to the minor road from Shap to Crosby Ravensworth. Castlehowe Scar stone circle is no more than 7m in diameter. It is formed of local Shap granite set in a ring. It measures 7 metres from north to south and 6 metres east to west.
