Broomrigg Stone Circle
Ainstable, Penrith.
Three stone circles and two smaller settings of boulders 12' across. Inside one of the circles was a series of cremations, one in a collared urn.
The circles are located just behind the village of Ainstable near Penrith. Broomrigg stone circles, in Broomrigg Forest. Start of the forest track at NY542468 and walk along this for about 0.8 km (1/2 mile).
There are several circles in the undergrowth. The circles are low, most are on the left near the path shortly before it crosses an old stone wall.
