From Ullswater

Five OS mapped 'do-in-a-day rides' ranging from 13 to 19 miles and all starting from Ullswater. Ullswater's north western fells, Moor Divock, Great Mell Fell, Little Mell Fell and Boredale plus the Eastern Flanks of Ullswater are all explored in this cycling guide.

From Penrith

Five circular OS mapped 'do-in-day' rides ranging from 15 to 31 miles. The eastern edge of the Lake District, the Eden, Lowther and Lyvennet Valleys, and Greystoke are all explored from the historic market town in the middle of the Eden Valley.

Five circular OS mapped 'do-in-day' rides from these market towns in the upper Eden Valley, ranging from 12 to 27 miles. The Eden Valley, Eden Rivers and Brough Castle, Orton Fells, Mallerstang and Pendragon Castle and Eden's Villages and Viaducts are all explored in this cycling guide.

The Eden Trails

There are two cycling itineraries to take in the best bits of Eden by bike to inspire more people to explore the fabulous hidden gems on offer in Eden. The routes include:

Armathwaite: Family Cycle Trail - a fantastic cycle trail through some of Eden's most picturesque villages.

The Yellow Jersey Loop - inspired by Sir Bradley Wiggins and his 2012 Tour de France victory, this route celebrates everything that is great about cycling in Penrith and the Eden Valley.
