Reserve and Collect Cards for Good Causes Charity Christmas Cards at Penrith TIC

Penrith Tourist Information Centre’s (TIC) wide range of national charity Christmas Cards, which are sold every year on behalf of Cards for Good Causes, are now available to buy via a new reserveCards for Good Causes logo and collect service.  The new service allows people to order cards in advance by telephone or email and collect them from the TIC on a pre-arranged day and time.

For over 15 years Penrith TIC has been working in partnership with Cards for Good Causes – the UK’s largest multi charity Christmas Card distributer – to offer people the chance to buy high quality Christmas cards on behalf of 25 well known national charities.  For every £1 spent, 70p goes direct to the charities enabling them to direct important funds to where it is needed most.

To make it easier for people to buy cards this year they can now contact the TIC by either phone or email Monday to Friday 10am – 4pm and staff will be able to advise them what card designs are available to buy on behalf of different charities. All cards come in packs of 10 and in a range of festive and seasonal designs. Some larger multi-packs of cards are also available.

In addPenrith: A Historical Record in Photographs book coverition, copies of Penrith – A Historical Record in Photographs published by Penrith and Eden Museum are now available for purchase at the special price of £8.  The book is illustrated in colour and black and white (hard back, 159 pages).  Books can be purchased using the same reserve and collect service.  Mail order also available £4.50 p&p per book.

Purchases for Christmas Cards and the Penrith book can be made over the telephone via credit or debit card.  Once Christmas cards are purchased TIC staff will inform people when they can come to the TIC (located on Middlegate next to Penrith Cinema) and collect their pre-packed recyclable bag of cards.  It is envisaged there will be several different collection days and times – subject to demand.  Collection will be carried out observing current Covid-19 social distancing guidelines.
